Arc began with a mission – a mission to help children with developmental disabilities. Two families got together to discuss the needs of their children and soon realized that they needed a way to raise money to fund programs. Their concern turned into an idea. That idea has grown throughout Colorado. With 12 Arc Chapters and 19 stores on the Front Range, Arc is able to provide funding and programming for individuals developmental disabilities and their families.
There are two sides to Arc: the retail thrift store operation, and the Arc Chapters. By providing unique and one-of-a-kind clothing and household items at our thrift stores, Arc helps support its mission to improve the lives and bring a sense of fulfillment to persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Through the Arc Mission website, tools are provided for you and your community to join in this worthwhile cause. It also gives you information about why advocacy for people with developmental disabilities is so important.
